93 POINTS - The Vintage Journal Summer Wine Guide 2023
Deep crimson. Fresh dark plum, blackberry, roasted hazelnut, hint black liquorice aromas. Well concentrated dark chocolate, blackberry, satsuma plum flavours, fine slinky textures and underlying savoury notes. Finishes firm and tight with some black olive notes.
91 POINTS - Dave Brookes, Halliday
Always nice to see the grape growers get a call out on a wine label, they're the unsung heroes in this biz. Vibrant magenta-splashed crimson in the glass with bright blueberry and juicy plum notes, exotic spice, charcuterie, pressed flowers, licorice and a whiff of pepper. Sleek and vivid with an easy-drinking style, a bright line and fine gypsum-like tannins.
91 POINTS - Ned Goodwin MW
A fine rendition of floral, judiciously reductive shiraz. Mid-weighted of feel, thanks to the welcome tension. Blueberry compote, iodine, charcuterie, tapenade and a slick of licorice. A taut, peppery furl across the juicy finish, lathered with refined chalky tannins. Lovely drinking. Drink or hold.
