Our talented winemaker Jason Schwarz will be hosting a Long Table Lunch with acclaimed chef Mark McNamara on Sunday 23 June. And there are still seats at the table available.
Jason will be opening a couple highlights from our museum stocks as well as the current release of our flagship wine, the 2010 Schiller Shiraz. A stunning wine made from a Shiraz vine yard planted in the 1880s and cared for by multiple generations of the Schiller family.
Priced at $95 per person, this lunch is a continuous grazing menu that features the best of seasonal produce and a selection of fine wines.
Here’s the chef’s explanation…
“I am so very fortunate to live and work in the Barossa, one of Australia and the worlds great wine regions. Home to a unique food and wine culture, one of generosity and conviviality and to me dining at the ‘Long Table’ is one of its most enjoyable aspects,” Mark says.
“This shared dining experience is the antithesis of fast food, and I invite you join us as we open windows to a dining experience that is truly one of place, and to the special parts of the Barossa you may not have imagined, discovered or previously visited.
“It goes without saying that you will need to surrender an entire afternoon to fully savour the moment and our ‘without walls’ philosophy ensures that the venues for these events over time will be many and varied, highlighting the diversity of our great food and wine region, yet always small, intimate and personal.”
