It’s been a busy couple of months here in the Barossa a number of new wines being bottled, the first of which was the 2016 Schwarz GSM. This blend of Grenache, Shiraz and Mataro shows these Barossa varieties at their best and the 2016 is set to be as popular as the 2015.
But don’t just take our word for it. Here’s the first review we’ve received from Gary Walsh at The Winefront.
16 October 2017.
Invariably one of the best (drinking) Barossa GSM, at least for my tastes.
Cherry, raspberry, spice, floral too, liquorice, but a little sooty/earthy too, which grounds it beautifully. Medium bodied, juicy purple flavoured wine, with a just the right amount of tannin grip, succulence and savoury. Finish is fresh and long. Delightful.
