The Schwarz Wine Company will be a part of the Barossa contingent pouring wines and having loads of fun at the Perth Good Food & Wine Show from 11 – 13 July. Jason Schwarz will have a selection of wines available for tasting throughout the show – including a couple of new releases that haven’t been released in Western Australia yet! For Schwarz Wine Company fans this is a chance to meet the winemaker and buy wines at special show prices. We’re bringing everything to you!

The following wines will be available to taste with Jason…
– 2013 Dust Kicker Chenin Blanc
– 2013 Dust Kicker Rose
– 2012 Meta Grenache
– 2012 Meta Mataro
– 2012 Meta Shiraz
– 2012 Nitschke Block Shiraz (pre-release opportunity)
– 2010 Schiller Shiraz
This wine won’t be poured for everyone…
But let Jason know you heard about it here and he will pour some for you!

The dynamic three-day event (Friday 11 July to Sunday 13 July) will be held at the Perth Convention & Exhibition Centre. It’s your chance to interact with winemakers from across Australia and to get up-close and personal with your favourite chefs.

Tickets are available from the Good Food & Wine Show website.
We’d love to see you there.

If you are planning to head along to the show, make sure you plan to join a Barossa Masterclass. David Brookes, former Kiwi fireman – now Barossa’s own wine scribe and wine judge, will host a series of interactive sessions each day during the Good Food & Wine Show. This is a chance for you to delve into what makes the Barossa the most famous wine region in Australia. Every Barossa Masterclass ticket holder also goes in the draw to win an “ultimate Barossa getaway for two”.
The prize pack includes…
– Flight vouchers;
– Two nights’ accommodation in a ‘Treasured Memories’ property;
– Four-course ‘du jour’ lunch with matching wines at the Hentley Farm Restaurant;
– A Food Luddite cooking class (hosted by Mark McNamara);
– A hot air balloon flight with Barossa Valley Ballooning; and
– A selection of Barossa Wines.

The Schwarz Wine Company is represented in two of the masterclasses…

Prepare yourself for a big day’s tasting with a lively, shared long-table brunch. Opportunities to meet the winemakers, hear the stories and enjoy a delicious range of Barossa wines and produce. The wines on offer with the brunch represent the lighter side of the region, including our own 2013 Dust Kicker Chenin Blanc.
10-11am daily.

Shiraz is the Barossa’s most famous variety, but this masterclass puts the best-known wines alongside other varietals that are equally at home here, but slightly less famous. For tasting you will have four examples of Shiraz that explore the differences on offer from different sub-regions and winemaking styles. Then you will be introduced to Grenache, Mataro, Zinfandel and a Shiraz/Mataro blend.

Our 2012 Meta Grenache is in the mix.
Midday to 12.45pm each day.
