A down the line, light, refreshing and delicious bone-dry rosé here with everything once could want from the style.  Gently fruited with blood oranges, apricot, Aperol, cloves and balance from bittering quinine/citrus rind elements.  Talc minerals at the edges with a little rock salt, and the golden salmon colour is on point.  A clear southern French influence which is never a bad thing, nails the rosé brief of having enough interest and character without that getting in the way of thirst slaking session ability.  As a huge enthusiast of pink wine, I always enjoy the rosé release from Schwarz each year – another big nod here.

The nose is lifted and expressive, showing strawberries and cream lollies, musk and subtle confectionery notes.The palate follows through confidently with rhubarb and cherry-ripe flavours, layered with orange rind and gentle spices. It is full-flavoured and generous, with a luscious mid-palate fruit sweetness that provides shape and appeal. Finishing dry and natural, balanced and textural, with good persistence through the finish. The complexities are alluring and seductive.
