FAQ

Is Schwarz Wine Co a family-owned Barossa winery?

Yes. Schwarz Wine Co is a small, family-owned Barossa Valley winery. Winemaker Jason Schwarz founded it in 2001 with grapes bought from his parents' vineyard at Bethany, and his brother Mark now runs the family vineyards that still supply our single-vineyard wines. We make small-batch wines from old Barossa vines, working closely with more than 13 local growers.

Do you make Barossa Grenache?

Yes, Grenache is at the heart of our range. Thiele Road Grenache is a single-vineyard wine from the Schwarz family's 80-year-old Grenache vines at Bethany, kept through the 1980s vine pull scheme, and it was the second wine Jason made. We also make The Grower Grenache, Meta Grenache, Meta Grenache Blanc and The Grower GSM. Shop our Grenache.

Can I visit Schwarz Wine Co for a tasting?

Yes, by appointment. Tastings are held at the Schwarz family homestead, 73 Biscay Road, Tanunda SA 5352, in the Barossa Valley. To book, call or text Jason on 0417 881 923, email info@schwarzwineco.com.au, or send an enquiry through our contact page.

Does Schwarz Wine Co have a cellar door?

Our own tastings are at the Biscay Road homestead, by appointment only, so please book ahead. Our full range is also poured at the Artisans of Barossa cellar door in Tanunda.

Can I buy Schwarz wines online?
